Final League Tables for 2011/12 Cup and Plate Final scores Congratulations to the Healey Hotel B who won the quiz on the presentation evening and congratulations to George Baxter and John Swarbrick(Blue Pits Rovers) who won the Pairs Brains of Rochdale for 2011/12. That ends the 26th season of the Rochdale and District quiz league, Peter would like to thank everyone who has helped and supported him through his first year in charge of the league. Peter will be in touch around August/September 2012 to set up the 27th season of the Rdql. Barry Stevens Barry Stevens died on 21st April, at the age of 69, after a year-long battle with illness. Barry ran the JW Lees Quiz league for several years before illness forced him to step down. He was a stalwart of the local quizzing scene, both as a quizmaster and a competitor. Barry was a long - term member of the Minders Arms/Lancashire Fold quiz team in the Rochdale and District Quiz League as a player and in later years the team captain. And was captain of The Middleton Moonrakers team which defeated TV's Eggheads in 2010. He will be greatly missed.
