game with the Hunters Rest Rifles to win by 5, while the Monk , in their 'Monk' derby beat their landlords by 18pts. Blue Pits
Raiders just pipped the Bay Horse Reformed by 2pts in a close affair. Cemetery Yoyos made their long trip upto Whitworth
worthwhile by coming away with a 7pt win. Hunters Rest are still looking for their first league win of the year a 9pt loss to The
Roebuck, keeps the Hunters team looking in search of the first win.
All change in division 2, long-time leaders, The Roebuck Romanies for the first time in over 3 months have been toppled off the
top by a close 2pt loss to the Royle Bowling Club, a very good win for the Bowling Club just may cost the Romanies the division
title, taking the Romanies place are the red hot, New Inn in now it seems that the league is their's to lose, New Inn after a
close start to the game took control and got a 20pt victory over The Riflemen. Ring O'Bells had a big 25pt win at the
Woolworths Club while the Milnrow Cricket Club got back to winning ways with a 12pt win over the Bay Horse Bandits, Crown
& Shuttle also eased through with a 11pt win at the Entwistle Arms.
Next week are the Semi-finals of both Cup and Plate competitions, In the Simon J Roberts Cup, Simon Roberts himself will take
his New Inn team into battle against The Roebuck, and the Merry Monk A take on the Whitworth Band Club, The Wayne
Whitworth Memorial Plate will see the Bay Horse Reformed take on the Merry Monk B and the Hunters Rest up against the
Tandle Hill Tavern.
Two league games postponed from the 6th January will also play their games, Blue Pits Rovers v Cemetery Yoyos and Milnrow
Cricket Club v Crown & Shuttle.
