Tables after the 18th January games Scores,tables from game 3 of the Cup/Plate group games played on the 4th January and 1st Round Cup and Plate details. The race for the division 1 title was whittled down to anyone of four teams after Wednesday's games. Blue Pits Rovers still lead the way with a 6pt win over the Bay Horse Reformed. Cemetery Yoyos remain the Rovers closest rivals as they beat the Blue Pits Raiders in a close and tight 52-44 win. Healey Hotel B beat the Healey Hotel A in the battle of Healey by 4pts. Lancashire Fold top scored on the evening scoring 56 by beating the New Inn by 27pts. The Roebuck Romanies remain bottom of division 1 with their 4pt loss to the Tandle Hill Tavern. Division 2 leaders, Whitworth Band Club remain at the top with a 12pt win over Hunters Rest. Hunters Rest Rifles kept up the pressure on the Band Club by beating bottom team Royle Bowling Club by 11. Crown & Shuttle and Ring O'Bells both gained wins. The game between the Bay Horse Bandits and The Riflemen was postponed until next Wednesday. Next Wednesday the league will be having a team quiz night at the Woolworths SSC. Anyone of the 12 teams who have a 1st round Cup or Plate bye may enter. The 8 remaining teams are required to fulfill their Cup/Plate 1st round matches. In the Gallon Challenge, the Blue Pits Rovers remain at the top of the Gallon Challenge table by scoring 19 from the 22 questions, giving them a score of 231pts from a maximum of 282. Matching the Rovers score the Healey Hotel B remain in second place just 2pts behind. Lancashire Fold gained some ground by scoring 21 and closing the gap to the Rovers by 3pts.
